Policies

Effective from 1 October 2026. Plain-language rules for applying, paying and studying with eedu.lk.

Terms of use

  1. These terms apply to everyone who uses eedu.lk — visitors, applicants and students.
  2. Your account is personal. Don't share your password; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
  3. Course content, recordings and labs are for your own study. Don't copy, sell or publish them.
  4. We may change a timetable, lecturer or venue when needed. We tell affected students in advance and keep the course outcomes the same.
  5. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms or the code of conduct, after telling the student why.

Admissions

  1. Each intake sets its own admission rules: open enrolment, a documents check, or documents plus an entry requirement. Some intakes also have an online selection exam.
  2. The minimum age is counted on the intake's start date.
  3. Documents must be genuine and readable. Verified documents are kept on file and reused for later applications.
  4. Approval gives you a student ID and an offer. You must pay the registration fee and first payment within the intake's offer window (usually 3 days). If not paid in time, the offer expires and the seat goes to the next person on the waiting list.
  5. When an intake is full, approved applicants go on a waiting list in the order they were approved.

Fees & payment

  1. Fees are set per intake and shown before you apply. The fee version you applied with is the one you pay, even if the intake's fees change later.
  2. Payment options: full payment (with a discount where offered), monthly, quarterly or in parts.
  3. Pay by bank deposit or transfer (upload the slip) or at the office. A payment counts when it is verified; you get a receipt.
  4. Late fees apply after the grace days shown in your plan. Fees overdue for more than 30 days pause course access until paid; your progress is kept.
  5. To sit an exam, no fees may be more than 30 days overdue.

Version 1 · in force from 1 Oct 2026

Refunds & withdrawals

  1. Withdraw before the start date: course fees paid are refunded; the registration fee is kept.
  2. Withdraw within 14 days after the start: 50% of the course fees paid are refunded.
  3. After that: no refund, except in exceptional cases (e.g. medical) approved by the finance manager.
  4. Unpaid future installments are cancelled when you withdraw. Amounts already overdue stay payable.
  5. Deferring to a later intake keeps the money you paid as credit for the new intake.
  6. Refunds are paid to your bank account within 14 working days of approval.

Privacy

  1. We follow the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka.
  2. We collect what we need to admit and teach you: contact details, NIC, education, documents, attendance, marks and payments.
  3. Documents are stored privately and seen only by authorised staff. We never sell your data.
  4. We share data only when needed — e.g. with exam bodies for certificates, payment banks, or when the law requires it.
  5. You can ask to see or correct your data, or ask us to delete it once we no longer need to keep it (finance records are kept for 7 years). Contact [email protected].

Code of conduct

  1. Be respectful in live classes, forums and messages.
  2. Do your own work. Copying, sharing answers, or having someone else sit an exam leads to a zero mark and may lead to dismissal.
  3. Use security and hacking skills only in the course labs or with written permission — testing systems you don't own is a crime.
  4. Recording or sharing live classes outside the course needs the lecturer's permission.
