About & user guide
How eedu.lk courses are organised and how to use the course player.
How a course is organised
Every course is divided the same way, so you always know where you are. The page number in the player footer (for example 1.1.2.2) tells you the chapter, section, topic and page.
Chapter
A major unit, e.g. 1 Network Design Fundamentals
Section
Intro, content sections, summary and quiz, e.g. 1.1
Topic
One idea, e.g. 1.1.2 Hierarchical model
Page
One screen with media and text, e.g. 1.1.2.2
The course player
- Page bubbles — the pages in the current topic. Green is the page you are on.
- Media — diagrams, animations, videos and activities. Use Full screen for large activities.
- Text — the reading for the page. Green underlined words are glossary terms; click one to see its meaning.
- Back / Next — move one page at a time (or use the ← → keys).
- Section bar — every section of the chapter. Lime = introduction/summary, blue = sections, navy = quiz, green = where you are.
- Page number — type a number such as 1.2.1.1 and press Enter to jump there.
- Tools — Global tools, Glossary (G), Search (S) and Course index (I).
